Tauri Group's Michael Brett and Paul Guthrie to Lead QxBranch

ALEXANDRIA, Va., Sept. 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tauri Group, LLC announced today that QxBranch, a quantum computing services and software venture, will retain Tauri employees Michael Brett and Paul Guthrie to lead its executive team.

The Tauri Group is expanding its strategic support of Aerospace Concepts by installing two employees as the executive team of one of the world's first quantum computing software and services companies.  The Tauri Group, LLC is an analytic consulting firm based in Alexandria, Virginia, with award-winning capabilities in aerospace, defense, and homeland security.  The company has supported Adelaide, Australia-based engineering services firm, Aerospace Concepts Pty Ltd, with strategic consulting and analysis services for over six years, including collaboration on a satellite development program and economic analysis for the Australian government. 

The Tauri Group has provided Aerospace Concepts with strategic market analysis and technology planning to assist in positioning QxBranch, LLC, a spin-off of Aerospace Concepts, founded to commercialize quantum computing software and services.  Senior Tauri Group employees Michael Brett (Senior Systems Engineer) and Paul Guthrie (Space and Technology Business Development Director / Senior Applied Economist) have been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chief Strategy Officer, respectively, of the new venture. Tauri Group Managing Partner Carissa Christensen serves as Chair of the QxBranch Board of Directors.

QxBranch will work with commercial partners to introduce new optimization algorithms enabled by the quantum computing, with anticipated game-changing applications in finance, logistics, oil and gas, aerospace, and biotech sectors.

QxBranch secured a seed funding round and is positioning for Series A funding in 2015. The venture was recently selected to participate in Accenture's competitive FinTech Innovation Lab in Hong Kong.  Building on these early successes, Michael Brett and Paul Guthrie are temporarily located in Hong Kong, collaborating with leading international financial institutions and other partners.
