Tampa Bay region speeds up with Verizon's new 100/100 Mbps Internet option, latest Fios bundles
TAMPA, Fla., Sept. 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Attention Tampa region customers who love Internet speed – on your mark, get set, go! Verizon is introducing a new 100/100 Mbps tier into its already super-fast, super-reliable Fios Internet services.
Additionally, the price for its 150/150 Mbps service has been greatly reduced. Both are part of new bundled offers being introduced today where Verizon offers its most advanced, 100 percent fiber optic network to nearly 1.3 million premises in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Manatee and Sarasota counties.
Verizon is the only communications provider to offer a symmetrical speed tier of 100/100 Mbps, or any Internet services offering the same fast download and upload speeds, in the Florida market
Verizon's triple-play bundle offers of Internet, TV and voice services features Fios Custom TV, which enables customers to purchase a package of programming that includes a choice of channel packs from seven different genres. This gives customers more freedom and flexibility to choose and pay for the types of channels they want and not for the ones they don't.
"Speed and reliability are the two most important features customers want in their Internet service and that's exactly what Fios delivers," said Melanie Williams, Verizon's Florida region president. "This new tier adds even more choices for Fios Internet services and further enables the best experience with multiple digital devices in the home, video streaming, social platforms and more, at some of the best prices and value we've ever offered."
With the Fios bundles new residential customers in the Tampa Bay area:
- Can order triple-play services featuring 50/50 Mbps Internet, Custom TV and Fios Digital Voice for $79.99 per year; 100/100 Mbps, Custom TV and Fios Voice for $89.99 per year; or 150/150 Mbps, Custom TV and Fios Voice for $99.99 per year. These are available with a two-year contract or month-to-month.
- Customers opting for a two-year contract are guaranteed to receive these prices for the term. They also have the option of receiving either a $300 Visa Reward card or $15 per month off of the price for Verizon's recording and storage service for a two-year period. They also receive a fully-loaded entertainment pack for one year, featuring HBO, Showtime, STARZ, Cinemax and Epix for no additional cost.
In addition to these bundle options, customers can choose plans featuring faster Internet speeds or more robust TV plans, depending on specific needs. And, with Verizon's Fios TV Mobile app, customers are able to watch Fios TV on compatible mobile devices.
