Tailwind (formerly PinLeague) Announces Acquisition of Pinterest Reporting Tool PinReach
Tailwind Offers the Industry's Most Robust Pinterest Analytics Platform - Acquisition Solidifies its Market-Leading Position
OKLAHOMA CITY, Oct. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Tailwind (http://tailwindapp.com), a software-as-a-service Pinterest analytics and marketing suite, announced today the acquisition of PinReach (http://pinreach.com), a Pinterest reporting tool with over 30,000 users. PinReach was one of the earliest Pinterest analytics services and was a product of marketing and technology firm Nervewire, Inc.
All of PinReach's business and consumer users will be seamlessly transitioned to the Tailwind platform. "We welcome PinReach users and are excited to help them gain powerful insights from our advanced Pinterest analytics platform," said Danny Maloney, CEO and co-founder of Tailwind. "Our service provides advanced features such as profile and repin tracking, content optimization, influencer and advocate engagement, competitive analytics, and ROI tracking. Yet, since we offer a free service tier, PinReach users can utilize Tailwind without any expense."
PinReach, acquired by Nervewire (formerly known as B Culture Media) in 2012, was a strategic product purchase for the firm. However, their product team determined that in the rapidly-evolving Pinterest analytics sector its users would be better suited with an already advanced Pinterest analytics company like Tailwind. The deal means Nervewire will revitalize its focus on its core business – providing world-class digital marketing and technology solutions to top brands.
"When Nervewire acquired PinReach last year, our intent was to learn as much as we could about Pinterest as quickly as possible, so that we could better serve our clients and prospects," said Natalie Dold, Nervewire's Vice President Client Partner. "We achieved that objective and are happy to see PinReach join the Tailwind family."
Tailwind offers robust reporting tools to its direct clients, as well as social media and PR agencies, so they can gather market intelligence for their brand's social activities. The company currently offers advanced analytics for Pinterest, which allow companies to identify key audience segments such as a brand's biggest fans and advocates. Tailwind offers a robust free account that provides users with a wealth of Pinterest data including the number of followers and repin activity.
"The PinReach acquisition solidifies our leading position in the Pinterest analytics market," continued Maloney. "It also reinforces our recent rebrand, which represents the growing impact we can have for our users. The name Tailwind implies a powerful force that supports our members in maximizing their social media efforts."
PinReach users will be notified in coming weeks once their account has been migrated to Tailwind's platform. Any users who wish to transition their account sooner can do so at http://tailwindapp.com/pinreach.
