Tab Service Company Announces Completion of its Service Organization Control 2 Examination

CHICAGO, Dec. 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tab Service Company has announced the successful completion of its Service Organization Control 2 (SOC 2 Type II) examination.

Tab Service Company received affirmation of its internal control over its TSC1099 application with the successful completion an independent examination and issuance of a Service SOC 2 Type II report. SOC 2 superseded the Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) in July 2011, and is related to internal control over data, compliance and regulatory concerns.

SOC 2 is a generally accepted auditing standard utilized by service organizations to demonstrate their internal controls and security practices to their clients.  By completing the SOC 2 examination, Tab Service Company can now offer third-party verification of its significant control practices and operational procedures. Tab Service Company's SOC 2 examination focuses on the security, confidentiality and processing integrity of its TSC1099 application.

Conducting a comprehensive SOC 2 examination requires substantial financial and time investments and Tab Service Company considered the review a mandatory aspect of its continuing commitment to process improvement and commitment to safeguarding its customers' data.
