Synology Helps Saratoga High School Connect Teachers and Students

REDMOND, Wash., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Synology America Corp., a leader in network attached storage servers, today released the success story from Saratoga High School in enabling a digital classroom.

The success story shows how one leading high school in Saratoga, CA has successfully used their DiskStation to help connect teachers and students, augmenting their existing teaching tools. Saratoga High was able to integrate their DS209 into their existing network, requiring little IT expertise. In addition to not requiring additional IT resources to set up, the affordable DiskStation fit within their budgetary constraints.

In particular, the World Language Department has used the DiskStation to good effect to facilitate communication between teachers and students, enabling them to share information easily.

"We can use our teaching portfolios to give instructions and create podcasts and blogs to promote interactive communication with our students and among students from other classes. We can assess students' progress using student electronic portfolios during the school year and at the end of each semester."
