Swisscom Expands Deployment of MicroStrategy Business Intelligence Software for its Customer Care Service Division
Standardizes on MicroStrategy for Enterprise Reporting and Analytics
MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MicroStrategy® Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR), a leading worldwide provider of business intelligence (BI) software, today announced that Swisscom has expanded its deployment of MicroStrategy for its Customer Care Service division. Swisscom is Switzerland's leading telecommunications provider, with 5.7 million mobile customers and approximately 1.8 million broadband connections.
A MicroStrategy customer for more than three years, Swisscom uses MicroStrategy for reporting on and analyzing sales and performance of specific products and services. Since Swisscom consolidated its business units into one entity, Swisscom AG, the company decided to standardize on one BI platform. Following a detailed evaluation of BI providers, Swisscom selected MicroStrategy as its BI vendor for enterprise reporting. MicroStrategy was selected because of its ability to fulfill Swisscom's requirements out-of-the-box, and its ad hoc reporting and user-friendly dashboard capabilities.
Swisscom's Customer Care Service division offers its customers a central point of reference for services relating to the Swisscom portfolio. Swisscom plans to use MicroStrategy to enhance its customer service by providing managers and staff members with detailed insights into efficiency, allocation of resources, and other key metrics to ensure a high level of service for its customers.
Mr. Martin Henz, Head of Customer Process Analytics of Swisscom, said, "MicroStrategy's BI software will help us to improve our customer support and service with enhanced analytical tools. This information will enable us to meet our customers' needs more accurately and quickly."
"We are pleased that Swisscom has selected MicroStrategy as its enterprise BI provider," said Sanju Bansal, MicroStrategy COO. "MicroStrategy's BI platform has the scalability and flexibility to analyze large volumes of data at the transactional level and provide Swisscom with valuable information that can improve business performance, operational efficiencies, and customer service."
