BERN, Switzerland, Aug. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Award-winning Swiss artist Dante has arrived on the Monterey Peninsula to unveil a sculpture of the legendary Ferrari 250 GTO as part of a special American premiere. "This week, I fulfill a dream by introducing my work during the world famous Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance," said Dante. The artists' sculpture will be on display in the RetroAuto Plaza area across from the Gooding & Co. Pebble Beach Auction August 18-21, 2011. The 24-Karat Ferrari sculpture forms part of Dante's acclaimed Iconic Sports Car Series and will be presented in the same way that a 250 GTO owner unveiled the first piece during the world premiere in Monaco earlier this year.

"As the owner of chassis number 4675 GT, Chris Evans was an ideal person to present my sculpture honoring Enzo Ferrari's greatest creation," reflects the artist. Dante is referring to the famous Ferrari collector and British TV and Radio presenter who lifted the veil on a 1:8 scale sculpture of the vehicle at the Top Marques event in Monaco amidst a wealth of celebrities and royalty, including H.S.H., Prince Albert ll, a regular visitor at Dante's premieres-and the Stieger family, who kindly made their Ferrari 250 GTO, chassis number 3589 GT available to the artist. The unveiling ceremony at Pebble Beach also promises to be equally stunning, with a host of celebrities and collectors due to be present.
