Supreme Council Urges Bahrain to Heal Rifts in the Spirit of Ramadan

MANAMA, Bahrain, Aug. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Yesterday, Bahrain's Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs congratulated His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa on the advent of Ramadan.

Bahrainis were encouraged yesterday to use Ramadan as a time to heal sectarian rifts and to promote peace and reconciliation caused by recent unrest.

"Take advantage of the spiritual atmosphere prevailing in Ramadan to heal rifts caused by recent regretful incidents," urged HE Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalid Al Khalifa.

He also praised His Majesty King Hamad's commitment to the National Dialogue and stressed that scholars, imams and preachers should fulfill their roles by calling for unity to protect Bahraini society.
