New functionality found in ChangeGear 4.5 supports federal initiatives for accessibility

In 1998, Congress amended the Rehabilitation Act to require federal agencies to make their information technology accessible to people with disabilities. Section 508 regulations are used as a benchmark for accessibility by many organizations and businesses.

To achieve compliance, SunView Software engaged a world-class provider of accessibility consulting solutions to advise on Section 508 standards. SunView Software then conducted a product accessibility review of the ChangeGear application software based on Access Board standards with a focus on Section 508, subsections 21 and 22. The accessibility enhancements were integrated into the product development lifecycle and are now available in the 4.5 release of ChangeGear.
