Sunlogics Aligns Leadership to Manage General Motors Effort to Double Global Solar Output by 2015
ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich., Dec. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Sunlogics PLC today announced leadership changes and additions to better position the company to manage its solar projects, supporting General Motors' goal to double its global solar output by 2015.
Charles Bryant, formerly Executive Vice President of Finance, was selected as Interim Chief Executive Officer of the company.
Charles Bryant, the company's Interim CEO states, "The realignment of our management better positions the company to capitalize on our exceptional global project opportunities, especially those solar projects related to meeting General Motors' goal of doubling its solar output by 2015. We have engaged the services of Abraham Morris as Special Board Advisor. Mr. Morris brings over 25 years of operational, strategic and financial experience to our Sunlogics team. Over the next several months, he is working with us to develop a strategic operational and financial plan to manage the anticipated accelerated growth of the company."
The company also appointed Kamesh Gupta to the Board. Mr. Gupta brings 36 years of General Motors' leadership and technical management experience to the Sunlogics board. In his most recent position with General Motors, he served as Global Manager, Engineering and Strategic Programs, Energy and Utilities Services Group, overseeing significant projects such as a 12MW rooftop solar project in Zaragoza, Spain.
