"Suffolk Law has been at the forefront of innovation in legal education for quite some time, both in terms of its focus on practical training and attention to legal services delivery in an evolving legal marketplace. The school was the obvious choice for Integreon in our search for a partner for this program," said Mark Ross, Global Head, Legal Process Outsourcing at Integreon. "Our partnership with Suffolk offers our clients yet another compelling legal service delivery model here in the U.S., and one which also helps train the next generation of lawyers."
"The program fosters an environment that not only emphasizes project management, teamwork and legal operations efficiency, but also instills transformative and innovative thinking," added Caragh Landry, Global Head, Onshore Managed Review at Integreon. "There is growing market demand for this kind of talent, and we're working with Suffolk to fill that need."
Suffolk University Law School Dean, Andrew Perlman, stated, "We're thrilled about this partnership with Integreon and, by extension, the involvement of their current and future corporate clients. The launch of the Client Services Innovation Program represents the culmination of almost two years of active engagement between Suffolk and Integreon. Suffolk broke the traditional mold of legal education in 2013 when it established its Institute on Law Practice Technology and Innovation, with Perlman serving as the founding director. The Institute is governed by an advisory board of legal industry leaders that includes Integreon's Ross. The Institute's current director, Suffolk Law professor Gabe Teninbaum, assumed the post when Perlman became Dean. Teninbaum commented that "this partnership is a perfect representation of what the Institute does: it promotes projects and programs designed to leverage technology and process innovations to improve the practice of law and the delivery of legal services."
While serving as the inaugural director of the Institute, Perlman also created a Legal Technology and Innovation Concentration (akin to an academic major), which teaches students how to leverage technology and innovative methods to deliver legal services successfully in the 21st century. The students in this concentration will be among the core pool of students expected to receive training in the Client Services Innovation Program.
