Stryker Spine To Launch Innovative Anchor-based ALIF Technology At The North American Spine Society Annual Meeting
ALLENDALE, N.J., Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Stryker Corporation's Spine Division will be launching its innovative Anchor-based ALIF technology, Aero™-AL, at booth #1405 during the North American Spine Society's Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA from November 12 – 14.
With the introduction of the Aero-AL System, Stryker Spine will offer the only in-line ALIF device that compresses across the interbody space. Featuring patented compression technology designed to draw the vertebral bodies towards the implant to create compressive forces at the implant-to-endplate interface, Aero-AL offers a more streamlined, less disruptive approach as compared to traditional screw based ALIF technologies.
"Aero-AL is the first of its kind," said Dr. Hyun Bae, orthopedic spine surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. "Through its less invasive approach, it enables me to confidently perform an ALIF and obtain circumferential segmental strength and stability."
"The addition of Aero-AL strengthens our product portfolio in the global ALIF market and furthers our commitment to growth in this key segment," said Bradley Paddock, Vice President and General Manager, Sales and Marketing of Stryker Spine. "We are dedicated to providing surgeons and their patients with innovative technologies to meet their growing clinical needs."
