PITTSBURGH, Oct. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Inc. magazine ranked Stoltenberg Consulting No. 2117 on its seventh annual Inc. 500|5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. As a six-time honoree, Stoltenberg has earned its place in the Inc. 5000 Honor Roll. The list represents a comprehensive look at a significant segment of the economy—America's independent entrepreneurs. Stoltenberg Consulting joins LivingSocial, Edible Arrangements, CDW and Lifelock, among other prominent brands featured on this year's list.
"Stoltenberg Consulting was built on a foundation of providing superior consultant services in the healthcare IT industry, as well as trusted guidance and strategic insight to our customers," said Sheri Stoltenberg, founder and CEO of Stoltenberg Consulting. "Receiving this honor for the sixth time – particularly when this industry is in such a state of evolution and change – is truly a testament to our ability to separate ourselves from other consulting companies and provide a service that is valued and consistent."
Since its inception in 1995, Stoltenberg has increased to more than 113 consultants serving hospitals nationwide. Paralleling recent growth in the healthcare IT market, Stoltenberg has increased its sales by 176 percent within the last three years.
In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2013 Inc. 500|5000 companies is an impressive 142 percent. The companies on this year's list report having created over 520,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $241 billion.

"Not all the companies in the Inc. 500 | 5000 are in glamorous industries, but in their fields they are as famous as household name companies simply by virtue of being great at what they do. They are the hidden champions of job growth and innovation, the real muscle of the American economy," says Inc. Editor Eric Schurenberg.
