SteelCloud Accelerates BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5 Migration with New Free Tool
ORLANDO, Fla., April 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SteelCloud, Inc. (Pink Sheets: SCLD), a leading developer of mobility computing appliance solutions, today announced at WES 2010, the availability of SteelWorks® Transporter+™, the free, "gotta have" tool for any organization migrating to BlackBerry® Enterprise Server 5.
SteelWorks Transporter+ greatly simplifies the process of migrating user accounts from previous versions of BlackBerry Enterprise Server to version 5. After downloading the free Transporter+ tool, administrators can use its simple visual interface to drag and drop users from their previous BlackBerry domain to their new BlackBerry domain. Key features of SteelWorks Transporter+ include:
- Visual Interface - user-friendly graphical interface makes migration simple to understand and intuitive.
- Test and Verify – Transporter+ error checking capability allows administrators to test/verify accounts moves before committing. Administrators can confidently move accounts to the latest BlackBerry Enterprise Server environment. And, user accounts can also be easily moved to/from production and test BlackBerry domains.
- More Complete Transport - Administrators can move both users and groups, in/out of domains across BlackBerry Enterprise Server versions. Transporter+ automatically detects the version, finds the correct database columns and transports users into the appropriate groups.
- No Reactivation Required – Save time - eliminates the need for users to delete BlackBerry smartphone data or to reactivate their smartphones.
- Consolidation – Transporter+ is also the easiest way to consolidate multiple BlackBerry environments into a single domain.
"We developed our SteelWorks appliance to speed the implementation and reduce the cost of establishing and supporting a BlackBerry Enterprise Server environment," said Brian Hajost, SteelCloud's President and CEO. "Transporter+ will have the same impact for the actual migration of data when updating to BlackBerry Enterprise Server 5. We are providing Transporter+ as a free download to any user."
SteelWorks Transporter+ CDs will be available to WES 2010 attendees at booth #614. IT administrators can also download it free of charge from the SteelCloud web site at www.steelcloud.com.
