Steel Media's CEO, Richard Steel, in response to an invitation from the White House, travels to Washington on Thursday to answer President Obama's call for an interactive dialogue to "create an American economy that's built to last." The invitation came as a result of a preliminary meeting at Harvard last month between Steel and members of President Obama's Office of Public Engagement.
The President is seeking participation from key business leaders in the private sector to collaborate with government in the establishment of opportunity, innovation and job creation to foster the return to a thriving American economy.
The format of the afternoon session is interactive dialogue focusing on topics of national business concern. The purpose of the session is to create effective collaboration in the formation of practical strategies for creating jobs and strengthening the economy.
