Statement Of Daniel A. Pollack, Special Master In Argentina Debt Litigation, December 9, 2015
NEW YORK, Dec. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Daniel A. Pollack, the Court-appointed Special Master presiding over settlement negotiations in the Argentina Debt Litigation, confirmed this morning that he had met earlier this week at his offices in New York City with Luis Caputo, the in-coming Secretary of Finance for the Republic of Argentina. The meeting took place at the request of Mr. Caputo and was introductory in nature. Mr. Pollack also confirmed that he had met at the end of last week with representatives of the Bondholders who hold approximately $10 billion of judgments against Argentina. No substantive negotiations to resolve the outstanding debt litigation occurred in either meeting. Mr. Caputo expressed to Mr. Pollack the intention of the new Administration to commence such negotiations promptly after they are sworn into office on Thursday, December 10. No specific date has been set for such talks.
