StartupValley Sponsors Crowdfunding Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs
Crowdfunding Professional Association Holds First Conference with Crowdfunding Bootcamp
SADDLE BROOK, N.J., Aug. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- StartupValley will attend Crowdfunding Bootcamp and the First Annual CfPA National Conference on Oct. 9-11, 2012 at the Ravella Resort and Spa in Lake Las Vegas, NV. The event will combine conference style speaking with hands-on workshops to educate entrepreneurs about the requirements established in the Crowdfunding Bill to legally raise capital under the JOBS Act. StartupValley will take part in the bootcamp to spread awareness of its portal and encourage up-and-coming entrepreneurs to comply with the JOBS Act requirements to participate in the new world of crowdfund investing. The function will be the first and largest crowdfunding event this year.
As the CEO and Founder of the technology-based equity crowdfunding portal, StartupValley, Daryl H. Bryant anticipates the magnitude of this groundbreaking event.
"It is imperative that entrepreneurs understand and comply with the rules and regulations set by the Crowdfunding Bill in the JOBS Act. StartupValley is thrilled to be one of the premier portal sponsors at this event and looks forward to meeting the future of technology startups."
The JOBS Act, effective in January 2013, allows for equity crowdfunding of startups from non-accredited investors. However, in order for entrepreneurs to raise capital legally, they must adhere to the in-depth compliance requirements of the JOBS Act.
CEO of CrowdFundingRoadmap and Executive Director of Crowdfunding Bootcamp, Ruth E. Hedges explains the importance of this event for funding portals and entrepreneurs alike:
"In order for equity crowdfunding to work, there must be a pipeline of entrepreneurs compliant with the laws under the JOBS Act by early 2013. Those who wait until January 2013 to establish compliance will not only delay their own business endeavors, but impede the efforts of compliant funding portals."
Always a step ahead, Bryant remains up-to-date with the requirements as stipulated in the JOBS Act to ensure StartupValley's success.
"StartupValley is taking the necessary measures to ensure that our funding portal will abide by all the rules and regulations being established by the SEC. We have been approved and received our Crowdfunding Portal Accreditation by CrowdSourcing.org."
Bryant is also a member of the Crowdfunding Intermediary Regulatory Advocates (CFIRA) and a founding board member of the Crowdfunding Professional Association (CfPA)."
