Startup Institute Announces New CEO And Leadership Team
Rich DiTieri to lead Startup Institute into exciting new chapter
BOSTON, May 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Startup Institute, the leading career accelerator for the innovation economy in Boston and New York City, today announced Rich DiTieri as its new CEO. The announcement comes alongside the appointment of a new leadership team who will lead a new era at Startup Institute.
Rich first joined Startup Institute as Associate Director before redesigning its global partner experience as the Head of Global Partnerships. His most recent role was running Startup Institute's Boston program, which has seen over 700 alumni complete the program. Prior to Startup Institute, Rich was the co-founder of Pintley, a 2011 MassChallenge Winner, and also held a technology consulting role at Deloitte. With a longtime background in business development and entrepreneurialism, he is taking on the role to grow Startup Institute's offerings to individuals, growing companies, and other educational institutions. Rich has dabbled in entrepreneurship since high school and has a B.S. in Management for Technological Entrepreneurship from Rensselaer. He takes over the role of CEO from Diane Hessan who stepped down in June 2016 to work with the Cinton campaign.
Joining Rich in the leadership team at Startup Institute is Peggy Yu as Chief Operations Officer, David Yourgrau as Vice President of Business Development, Jaime Goldstein as Vice President of Curriculum, Elizabeth Ames as Boston's Managing Director, and Justin Miller as Vice President of Marketing. Peggy, a Harvard MBA was previously Managing Director & VP of Business Development at Startup Institute, and is the former Interim Director of the Rock Center for Entrepreneurship at Harvard Business School,. David was previously NYC Program Director at Startup Institute, is a Senior Advisor at Morris Strategy Group, and has worked in sales since joining SCVNGR in 2011, helping the company pivot to LevelUp by leading a new sales office. Jaime joins Startup Institute from MIT where she developed and lead MIT Communication Lab as Program Director. Elizabeth, who's career includes launching the first Peace Corps operation in the former Soviet Union and directing the Cabinet of Economic Development for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, joins after spending the last 15 years consulting for social enterprises. Justin joins from Barton Associates where he was Senior Marketing Manager and launched Tech in Motion while at Motion Recruitment Partners .

Rich DiTieri is CEO of Startup Institute. First joining the company as the Associate Director, he went on to redesign the global partner experience as the Head of Global Partnerships before running the Boston program as Director.
