St. Joseph Health and Datu Health Extend Partnership to Implement Persuasion Engine™ Platform
BOULDER, Colo., July 10, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Digital consumer engagement platform developer, Dātu Health, announced today that it has secured a 5-year, $25 million engagement with St. Joseph Health (SJH). The agreement builds upon the existing two-year partnership between Dātu and SJH.
Collaborative Care Programs for diabetes, wellness, and pregnancy will continue in the engagement, as well as future development of key new programs targeting SJH customers with various health needs and goals. In addition, the partners will work jointly to enhance Dātu's sophisticated Persuasion Engine technology that will enable SJH to influence patient behavior and advance their population health management objectives.
Powered by proven behavioral health models, Dātu's Persuasion Engine is a set of rules, content and "nudges" that SJH will provide to each program member through a rich mobile experience customized to his or her unique needs. SJH will harness the platform to extend care models through the digital channel and deepen the relationships it has with community members.
"Our value-based contracting and population management strategies require that we extend the sacred encounters we deliver beyond the four walls of our physical locations and into people's every day lives," said Deborah Proctor, SJH's President and Chief Executive Officer. "Dātu's platform and team give us that capability and we are excited to continue to collaborate with them."
Andy Parham, President and CEO of Dātu Health, is enthusiastic about continuing the work that Dātu began with SJH in August of 2013. "SJH is a truly innovative health system with leadership that embraces and invests in new ways to deliver its mission. We hope that this collaboration will create a model for how health systems can fully harness the growing number of new digital health tools."
