SRA Wins $85 Million Contract Supporting the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission with IT Solutions
FAIRFAX, Va., June 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SRA International, Inc., a leading provider of IT solutions and professional services to government organizations, today announced that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) awarded the company the Information Technology Support Services program (ITSS). The contract includes a base year and six option years and is valued at $85 million if all options are exercised.
FERC is an independent agency that regulates the interstate transmission of electricity, natural gas, and oil. In addition, the agency reviews proposals to build liquefied natural gas terminals and interstate natural gas pipelines as well as licensing hydropower projects allowing them to support their mission to provide reliable, efficient and sustainable energy for customers.
SRA has developed a comprehensive approach and built a team specifically designed to provide ongoing IT support for FERC's mission-critical systems on a day-to-day basis and to ensure that innovative, cost-effective IT solutions underpin FERC's core and evolving mission requirements. Under the contract SRA will provide a full range of IT services including program management, IT policy and administration, IT operation and maintenance, information security, systems engineering and documents and registry services.
