SPS Announces Key Appointments to Executive Team to Support Client-Centered Transformation
PARSIPPANY, N.J., April 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Strategic Products and Services (SPS), a multi-vendor systems integrator and managed services provider for communications and networking, today announced the recent appointment of key leadership within the organization. Ed Nalbandian will serve as chief executive officer (CEO), Michael Lucciola will serve as president and Amit Basu will serve as chief information officer (CIO).
These esteemed leaders join the current SPS Executive Team that includes William (Biff) Jennings as chief financial officer (CFO), Vel Johnson as executive vice president of sales and marketing, Sonia Spicehandler as vice president of human resources and Rui Goncalves as general counsel.

In his newly appointed role as CEO, Nalbandian drives the strategy to extend SPS core competencies and managed services. Nalbandian's knowledge and experience in the managed services industry positions SPS to form long-term client relationships and provide flexible services for clients' evolving environments. Nalbandian joined SPS in 2016 as chief operating officer (COO) and previously served as the president of Enabling Managed Services (EMS), a managed services consulting firm. Ed's experience includes serving as vice president of managed services for Avaya, where he doubled the managed services business over six years with an innovative multi-vendor private cloud model, and as CEO of AimNet Solutions, an independent managed and professional services company he developed into an industry-leader that was ultimately acquired by Cognizant.
In his role as president, Lucciola focuses on accelerating operational improvements and company product and professional service initiatives. For the past fifteen years, Lucciola served as CEO of the Firefly Group, a private investment and advisory firm that assists growth-stage businesses in the technology and professional services sectors. He also served as president of eB Networks, an IT services company he helped to successfully restructure, and founder and CEO of Integrated Computer Management (ICM), an award-winning systems integration company.
As CIO, Basu directs large-scale transformational technology initiatives within SPS to improve performance and enterprise value. By helping SPS innovate its processes and systems to support clients, Basu ensures the company achieves its priorities of increased agility, productivity and efficiency. He possesses a successful record of building technology platforms and business processes for startups and growing organizations. Most recently, Basu founded cognativ, a provider of consulting services and thought leadership in the areas of technology and business strategy.
