SpinGo Launches Mobile Event App Through 700 Media Companies
Event Engine Provides Human-Verified, Accurate Database for 1.8 Million Live Events
SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SpinGo, a technology start-up that enables event organizers to promote their events through media companies across all 50 states, today launched a mobile application that provides readers of New York Daily News, Chicago Daily Herald, U-T San Diego and nearly 700 other media companies access to the nation's largest event engine. SpinGo's event database contains content from 100,000 data sources for 1.8 million live events, which are all human-verified by SpinGo to ensure each event has accurate information about time, venue and cost.

"Our event engine now powers more than 700 mobile apps for media groups and developers across the country," said Kreg Peeler, founder and CEO of SpinGo. "Millions of people rely on our event information everyday. As an event organizer, I understand the challenges and urgency of promoting events. And all event goers want fresh, reliable, usable content at their fingertips. This new mobile app makes it easy for event organizers to reach millions, and it gives event goers the content they're looking for, all on a mobile device."
SpinGo built the mobile app to be an extension of media partner apps. Peeler chose a web app, instead of a native app, as web apps have increased connectivity speeds, take up less storage space on mobile devices and are always up to date.
In addition to the mobile application, SpinGo powers media companies' website event calendars.
"SpinGo is built to be the most accurate live event database in America," said Peeler. "I was tired and frustrated by the lack of accurate information about local events, so we built a platform to not only gather events, but verify them and ensure that our database is always current and accurate."
SpinGo works to provide events that are not only accurate, but relevant. Filtering makes it easy for partners and event goers to see what is taking place in their local community without becoming overwhelmed by the many options. Event information is gathered into a massive database and tagged, categorized and syndicated to an interactive calendar platform that partners customize for their audience.
