Keynote speakers include HRSA's Mary Wakefield, CMS's Anthony Rodgers
WASHINGTON, June 25 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Employers who pay for health care, policymakers who regulate the industry, providers who serve patients and the consumers at the center of care will share roles, responsibilities and new insights about the impact of the medical home in the community as the Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative convenes its Stakeholder Meeting July 22 in Washington, DC.
"The Patient Centered Medical Home in the Community" is the theme of this working meeting of PCPCC volunteer leadership. The meeting will be held at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center from 8:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 22. The PCPCC is a coalition of more than 700 organizations representing the nation's business leaders, consumers, primary care physicians and other health care stakeholders, with the shared goal of advancing adoption of the patient centered medical home (PCMH) across the nation.
"Demonstrations of the medical home across the nation share common elements, such as care coordination, enhanced patient access to care and use of health information technology, but the medical home is not a cookie-cutter model," said Edwina Rogers, executive director of the PCPCC.
