Honored among a group that included Facebook, LinkedIn and Pandora, Everloop was selected by the AlwaysOn editorial team and global industry experts. The summit, which took place last week at Stanford University, highlights the significant trends and most promising entrepreneurial opportunities affecting the global technology industries.
Everloop, set for a public launch this fall, was also honored as one of the summit's Top Seed Stage Companies to Watch and company CEO Hilary DeCesare was featured in the AlwaysOn Women and Entrepreneurship forum. "We believe our social looping platform will be a game-changer for how tweens, parents and brands participate in social media, and I am thrilled Everloop has been recognized as an industry leader here at AlwaysOn," DeCesare said.
Everloop's unique social looping concept was a standout at a summit that focused on how take social networking and online privacy to the next level. Unlike open networking, a social loop is a micro-social graph or discrete social network, and Everloop offers the most comprehensive privacy protection of any application to date that enables true social looping. "Our goal is to create a destination where tweens benefit from the self-expression and peer connections facilitated through social media, but in a safe, online space that parents have a completely transparent view into," DeCesare added.
Everloop is poised to launch with the most robust and cutting-edge set of features and tools available to tweens on one site, including user customization tools, unique communications features and UGC channels. The platform's highlights include VoIP, an IM client, and SMS text messaging within the dashboard, as well as a video channel, virtual store and elements including stickers, backgrounds and Goobs (Everloop's set of peer-to-peer pranks.)
Everloop was created by a team of social media, technology and brand experts hailing from organizations including Oracle, Industrious Kid and Nelvana, and has a board of advisors that includes luminaries Alan Goodman (MTV, Nickelodeon), Dave Anderson (Activision) and Linda Criddle (iLookBothWays.)
