The July issue of Manufacturing Engineering magazine highlights these 30 young manufacturing professionals and students for their accomplishments. Among the standouts: Christopher Tyler, 28, who worked with the U.S. Air Force on optimizing the topology of flapping wing vehicles; Kathryn Tillery-Merk, 28, who manages projects to close manufacturing technology gaps, such as those with intelligent machining; and Rachel Battershaw, 23, a Spirit AeroSystems' principal investigator on two major programs, the Airbus A350 and Boeing 787.
