After making a powerful impact in the world of large appliances, SMEG has collaborated with renowned Italian designers Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti of Deep Design, to create a beautiful new assortment of small appliances oozing with style. The small appliance project was a true creative collaboration with Deep Design and SMEG's own design team and represents a continuation of the SMEG 50s style collection, which includes the iconic FAB refrigeration and Victoria range. It wasn't a simple process to develop the concept in an artistic way, to intermingle retro-style and contemporary lines, and to engineer not only aesthetics, but high performance as well… and the result has been a great success! The small appliance new product line features colorful Toasters, Stand Mixers, Blenders, and Kettles, that offers homeowners an easy way to infuse Italian style into their homes.
"People expect surprising things from us, but still with functionality as their main focus," states Vittorio Bertazzoni, the CEO of SMEG. "Our products have to be solid in order to last for years. You have to keep using them and looking at them without getting bored. This is what makes SMEG unique! I have had the chance to do what my father did 40 years ago; work with great architects and designers to push the boundaries to create pieces which go beyond people's expectations and challenge the way they see domestic appliances."
Replete with voluptuous curves and SMEG's signature lettering, the small appliance line is currently available for sale in the U.S. For more information, and a list of SMEG dealers, visit the SMEG USA website at www.smegusa.com.
