SmartTrust® Hires Industry Veterans Wolcott and Lavin

PARSIPPANY, N.J., May 2, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- SmartTrust® is pleased to announce the hiring of two industry veterans to complement its team. Matt Wolcott and Luke Lavin have joined as a Senior Vice President and Regional Vice President, respectively.

Mr. Wolcott joins as a Senior Vice President for SmartTrust® and will work out of the Firm's Parsippany, NJ headquarters.   Prior to Hennion & Walsh, Mr. Wolcott was a Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he was responsible for closed-end fund (CEF) and UIT origination.  Prior to his 16 years at Merrill Lynch, Mr. Wolcott was a Vice President at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney and worked as a fund administrator at BNY Mellon.  

Mr. Lavin joins as a Regional Vice President and external wholesaler for SmartTrust® covering parts of the New England territory.   Prior to Hennion & Walsh, Mr. Lavin worked in various sales capacities for First Trust, Sun Life Financial and Piedmont Capital Distributors, LLC.
