Skip Battle Joins Art.com Inc.'s Board of Directors
Former Ask Jeeves CEO Brings Expertise in Building Online Brands
EMERYVILLE, Calif., April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Art.com Inc., the world's largest online retailer of wall art, today announced that veteran business and technology executive and former Ask Jeeves CEO A. George "Skip" Battle has joined the company's board of directors as chairman of its Audit Committee.

Battle is currently a Senior Fellow of the Aspen Institute as well as Chairman of the Board of Fair Isaac Corporation and a Director of Advent Software, Expedia, Netflix, OpenTable, and the Masters Select family of mutual funds. From 2000 to 2005 he was the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Chairman of Ask Jeeves, selling the company to Interactive Corporation in 2005. He retired from Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in 1995, having held a series of management positions in the firm including Worldwide Managing Partner, Market Development, and Managing Partner, U.S. Operations and Planning. He was formerly a Director of Barra, Inc., and was the lead Independent Director of PeopleSoft.
A resident of Berkeley, California, Battle also is a Trustee of the Berkeley Community Fund and the U.S. Olympic Cycling Development Foundation. He is a senior moderator of the Henry Crown Fellowship, the Liberty Fellowship, and the African Leadership Initiative.
