NEW YORK, Sept. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SiriusXM announced today that host Michael Smerconish will moderate a forum with the Libertarian Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates, Governors Gary Johnson and William Weld. The live, one-hour conversation will air on SiriusXM P.O.T.U.S. channel 124 on Monday, September 12 at 10:00 am ET.
Smerconish will sit down with the candidates at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, where he'll lead the discussion before a live studio audience of SiriusXM subscribers. With only two months to go before the nation casts its votes on November 8, both Governors Johnson and Weld will field questions about the hot-button issues of the presidential campaign as well as why voters should consider supporting the Libertarian ticket. The audience of SiriusXM subscribers will also have the unique opportunity to speak directly with the candidates.
"As we've proven throughout the 2016 election cycle, SiriusXM is committed to leading informative conversations with the presidential hopefuls and giving our subscribers direct access to the candidates," said Dave Gorab, Vice President and General Manager, Talk Programming. "Michael Smerconish is the perfect host to have a frank conversation with the Johnson-Weld campaign about both foreign and domestic issues, as well as how they plan to impact the race. It should be a fascinating hour of live radio."
SiriusXM subscribers will also be able to listen to the Libertarian Presidential Forum via SiriusXM On Demand, through the SiriusXM app on smartphones and other connected devices, as well as online at www.siriusxm.com/player.
