Silicon Valley Disposition to Host Two World Class Global Online Auctions in the Last Two Weeks of May
Auctions for all assets of two Silicon Valley-based clean technology firms: Biofuel producer, Cobalt Technologies and flow cell energy storage company, EnerVault.
SAN MATEO, Calif., May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Silicon Valley Disposition (http://www.svdisposition.com) announced today that it will simultaneously run online auctions of all of physical assets from the head quarter facilities for Cobalt Technologies located in Mountain View, California and EnerVault located in Sunnyvale, California. Both auctions will include late model research and development, electronic test and measurement and facility support equipment as well as servers and other IT assets.
Founded in 2008, Cobalt Technologies was a start up that specialized in the creation of biobutanol using various cellulosic feedstocks such as corn cobs, treetops and limbs, and dead pine trees from pine beetles. Cobalt was named to the Biofuels Digest "30 Most Transformative Technologies of 2010" and ranked first in the competitive biobutanol category. Also in 2010, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger paid a visit to Cobalt Biofuels and was quoted for saying, "Cobalt shows us that what is good for the environment can also be good for the economy."
EnerVault was also founded in 2008 to develop safe, reliable, cost-effective grid-scale, long-duration energy storage systems. EnerVault's technology was based on the company's patented Engineered Cascade™ technology that transforms an inherently safe Redox Flow Battery chemistry into highly economic and reliable storage solutions. The Company was awarded a $4.7 million grant from the Department of Energy under the stimulus program to develop a storage and photovoltaic project in Turlock, California.
The auction presents an ideal opportunity for companies in Semiconductor, Solar and Energy Storage, Biotechnology, and Electronics industries as well as general research and development organizations to purchase very well maintained, late model and refurbished, premier brand equipment at a discount.
