BOSTON, Oct. 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SHIFT Communications is excited to announce three new promotions as it expands its leadership bench and evolves its integrated services approach. The leadership trifecta expands SHIFT's tech practice on both coasts, as well as enriches SHIFT's services on a national scale.
SHIFT prides itself on having a strong integrated communications approach that drives measurable results. To this end, SHIFT has been crafting new strategies and investments in tools, people, marketing and ideas. As the demand for core and integrated services nationally continues to grow, SHIFT is staying on the cutting edge by growing from within. Each of the three newly-promoted SHIFTers brings unique value to the table.
SHIFT's biggest change comes in the form of Derek Lyons' new position. Derek, who served as Vice President of Account Services at SHIFT for over ten years, is taking on an expanded role as Senior Vice President of Integrated Services. The new position is national in scope, and marks the creation of a dedicated "service bureau" devoted to integrating Marketing Technology and other non-traditional services into all of SHIFT's processes. Derek's role will help SHIFT differentiate itself as a leader in data-driven PR.
Dan Brennan has worked for three years as Account Director in the Boston office, specializing in high-tech B2B public relations. In his new role, Dan will oversee a portfolio of B2B tech clients, tasked with guiding client strategy and ensuring tactical execution. He will also have increased responsibility for leading his team's new business initiatives.
To round off the big three, Cathy Summers, whose tenure at SHIFT has spanned twelve years, is moving to Senior Vice President of Account Services. In her new role, Cathy will be tasked with growing the Agency's B2B practice as a brand ambassador for SHIFT in the San Francisco technology market, with an eye to new business development, relevant speaking engagements and participation in local technology and marketing associations.
"In the hustle-bustle of daily work, it's important for us to keep sight of our mission: to change perceptions about the role and value of public relations," said SHIFT CEO Todd Defren. "These personnel changes will help SHIFT to fulfill that vision and stay ahead of the competition, while utilizing the incredible talent we already have at SHIFT as we remain committed to growing from within."
