Shareablee Social Scorecard Reveals Top 25 Global Luxury Brands on Social in H1 2015
Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Valentino dominate Top 25
Luxury Automotive and Jewelry & Watches see highest social growth
NEW YORK, July 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Leading social media benchmarking and predictive analytics firm, Shareablee Inc., released the Top 25 Social Global Luxury Brands in the first half of 2015. The ranking reflects a growth of 5.4 percent in social engagement compared to H1 2014, and a total of 670.4 million social actions (126.7 million on Facebook, 7.7 million on Twitter, 536 million on Instagram).
Mercedes-Benz dominates the Top 25 ranking with 77.3 million total actions (likes, comments, shares, retweets, favorites) across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, also ranking #1 on Instagram with 66.3 million actions. BMW ranked #1 on Facebook with 14.2 million total actions, and Victoria Beckham is the leading Luxury brand on Twitter with 585.6 thousand engaged actions.

The top five performing luxury categories ranked by social media actions across all platforms are:
- Fashion (382.7 million)
- Automotive (231.7 million)
- Jewelry & Watches (30.8 million)
- Hotels (17 million)
- Alcoholic Beverages (8.4 million)
Other notable findings include:
- Total engagement on video content posted by Luxury brands grew 224% in H1 2015 over H1 2014, with Alcoholic Beverages seeing the highest growth (2226 percent) followed by Automotive (420 percent) and Jewelry & Watches (261 percent)
- Alcoholic Beverages saw the highest growth in social amplification (sum of shares and retweets) and Facebook impressions at 11 percent and 14 percent, respectively, from January 2014 to June 2015
- The Top 5 Brands on Facebook: BMW (14.2 million actions), Mercedes-Benz (10.6 million actions), Michael Kors (6.5 million actions), Louis Vuitton (3.7 million actions), Christian Louboutin (2.9 million actions)
- The Top 5 Brands on Twitter: Victoria Beckham (585.6 thousand actions), CHANEL (355 thousand actions), Mercedes-Benz (344.3 thousand actions), Michael Kors (340.1 thousand actions), Burberry (317.4 thousand actions)
- The Top 5 Brands on Instagram: Mercedes-Benz (66.3 million actions), BMW (45.6 million actions), Valentino (29.4 million actions), Victoria Beckham (23.6 million actions), Michael Kors (22.5 million actions)
