Shape Editor-in-Chief Tara Kraft Adds Stylish Stacy London to Roster
NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Shape Vice President and Editor-in-Chief Tara Kraft has appointed acclaimed style icon Stacy London as Shape's new Style Editor-at-Large. Ms. London, the well-known host of TLC's "What Not to Wear," and author of the recent New York Times best seller "The Truth About Style," joins an expert and respected masthead of contributors to the leading women's fitness and health magazine.
"Stacy London is a style guru, and fitness and fashion go hand-in-hand," said Ms. Kraft. "Her sassy sense of humor, combined with a holistic approach to style, will be a tangible benefit to Shape's devoted readership." Stacy London's first monthly column will appear in the March issue, Ms. Kraft reported.
"I am so excited to work with Shape on a column meant to complement all the other great content found in the magazine each month. From what you eat, to how you work out, to how you feel, to what you wear, it is so important to take care of yourself," says Ms. London.
Stacy London began her career at Vogue magazine and worked her way up to senior fashion editor at Mademoiselle. She has styled for such designers as Rebecca Taylor and Vivienne Tam. Her celebrity clients have included Katie Holmes and Kate Winslet. Stacy London recently co-founded Style for Hire, a national network of stylists, trained and vetted to advise women in sound financial and style techniques for a better shopping experience.
"Shape readers don't just want to feel great. They want to look great, too," commented Vice President and Editor-in-Chief Tara Kraft. "Shape, with an audience of over 6 million, has long established the synergy between fitness and style. Stacy London will add both valuable content and her inexorable sense of pizzazz to the editorial we bring to consumers. Her column will make readers feel as though they have adopted Stacy as their own personal stylist."
Shape will accompany Ms. London and her stylists from Style for Hire on visits with real women, explains Ms. Kraft, making the fashion experience even more approachable to readers from coast to coast. "The results of a successful fitness regime along with the ability to look and feel fabulous is a true home run," Tara Kraft added.
"I look forward to bringing Shape readers helpful, inspirational, practical and FUN style information in every issue," Stacy London said.
