MADRID, July 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --
On the 11th - 13th of September, a high level delegation comprising of 65 of Europe's leading CIOs and CISOs will join together at the Sheraton Mirasierra hotel in Madrid for GDS International's 2013 NG Security EU summit.
The summit schedule includes a variety of interactive workshops and panel discussions on topical industry issues especially aimed at security leaders as well as pre-organised one-to-one meetings with innovative solution providers.
Delegates will be attending the NG Security EU Summit predominantly to share and discuss the pain points and challenges with modern day security issues in business today such as cyber attacks, data protection, security in the cloud and much more.
As well as providing attendees with an arena to discuss challenges and solutions, this exclusive Summit will offer the opportunity for attendees to not only create new business relationships, but also continue valuable existing relationships through formal and informal networking and meetings.
Jason Walton, Security Operations Manager at Virgin Media attended the summit in Germany last year said: "The biggest thing to stand out for me is by far in a way the networking opportunity you get within the NG Security Summit" he added, "Normally, we're quite centric in where we base these conferences, so certainly from a UK perspective to get out somewhere like this and to have a collaboration with truly European individuals has been absolutely fantastic."
Attending this year's NG Security EU Summit are: Joerg Graf, CISO/CTO at AUDI; Amar Singh, CISO at News International; Nick Jorgensen, CISO at Maersk Line; Bertrand Helfre, CISO at Societe Generale; Petri Kuivala, CSO at Nokia to name but a few executives.
Rob McCabe the Product Director for The forthcoming Next Generation European Security Summit states "Executives will be addressing many of the security issues linked with the huge growth in data, social media and mobility in the enterprise." He added "Many challenges face businessinfrastructures from cyber, hackers and malicious attacks, which all brings about security challenges which cannot be ignored." Rob continues, "We are delighted to be able to welcome our official security analyst partners KuppingerCole to the Summit. Martin Kuppinger founder & principle analyst along with Peter Cummings UK MD will be involved with moderating panel discussions and hosting workshops."
