Seattle's Global Realty Targets Chinese Homebuyers; Establishes Exclusive Partnership With Caimeiju.com For Washington State
Online Platform Demonstrates Firm's Commitment to Market Pacific Northwest Real Estate to China
SEATTLE, June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Realogics Sotheby's International Realty (www.RealogicsSothebysRealty.com), the Northwest's premier full-service, global real estate brokerage has announced today its partnership with San Diego-based Caimeiju (www.caimeiju.com), exclusively for the state of Washington. Founded in 2009, Caimeiju is a multi-faceted, international real estate marketing agency targeting affluent Asian home buyers and offers unparalleled access into China.
Caimeiju is already well known in popular first-tier markets throughout California and other luxury real estate communities worldwide. In markets like Beverly Hills and Orange County, top brokerage firms, agents, and developers contract with Caimeiju to promote their listings in Mandarin on the Caimeiju website as well as leverage Chinese Social Media sites like SouFun, YouKu ( the Chinese version of YouTube ), and Weibo.com (China's version of Twitter).
"We're constantly in search of new ways to propagate our listings overseas and help promote the Pacific Northwest to an increasingly global marketplace – after all, international is our middle name," says Stacy Jones, Owner of Realogics Sotheby's International Realty. "Caimeiju provides us immediate penetration into Asia and has proven to be a tremendous catalyst in other popular West Coast markets."
Caimeiju actually has several meanings. It can mean "Selecting a Beautiful Residence", or "Selecting an American Residence". The United States is (Mei Guo). While "Mei" stands for America, it also means "Beautiful" in Chinese. On the other hand, "Guo" stands for "country". Hence, by including "Mei" in the name, it relates to the United States, as well as implies a beautiful home.
Dennis Paige, a top-selling broker with Realogics Sotheby's International Realty in the Bainbridge Island branch was one of the first brokers locally to associate with the new Caimeiju platform in Washington State.
"I believe interest from the Chinese has only just begun as Seattle-area market fundamentals have become more attractive than other, more expected West Coast markets like Vancouver, B.C., San Francisco and Los Angeles," said Paige. "I also believe that Bainbridge Island presents an attractive market for those looking in the Puget Sound area, with the variety of property choices, from acreage to pristine waterfront. As an island community we can't afford to be provincial with marketing – we need to promote our lifestyle to a global marketplace."
Jones says Realogics Sotheby's International Realty has been very active targeting Asia including producing an event with VISA's Consulting Group in Vancouver, B.C. called "The Tale of Two Cities", which drew more than a hundred guests to consider buying in Puget Sound. The firm also established network of linked West Coast markets they call "The Dragon and the Pearls", which was recently profiled in the firms Collection Magazine and presented to Pacific Rim affiliates of Sotheby's International Realty during the Global Networking Event in Los Angeles. Among the research presented the Seattle/Bellevue marketplace was deemed far more favorable in terms of general affordability and propensity for capital appreciation when compared with Pacific Rim markets such as Vancouver, B.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sydney and Hong Kong. Expanding direct flights to and from Beijing and Shanghai illustrate the rising demand, adds Jones.
"We are extremely excited to be entering the Seattle metro area with such a proactive partnership," says Jeff Toth, the Caimeiju Founder. "This region is home to some of the most beautiful real estate in the country and we intend to share the secret with our motivated audience. We've been very impressed by the growth of Realogics Sotheby's International Realty and I believe they are the perfect partner to help us showcase what the Pacific Northwest has to offer our Chinese clientele."
According to the recent Census report, Asians are the fastest growing demographic in Washington State, expanding 8.1% between 2010 and 2012. In some municipalities, such as the City of Bellevue, Asian residents now comprise nearly 30% of the population – among the highest in Washington.
