Invoice2go Reveals New Ranking of the Top 25 Cities where America's Smallest Businesses are Thriving
REDWOOD CITY, Calif., Dec. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Invoice2go, the App Store's No. 1 mobile invoicing app, has released its ranking of America's Highest Achievers, a list of the top 25 U.S. cities for small businesses in 2015. More than 23,000 small and micro businesses across the U.S. were analyzed to determine which cities are the most lucrative based on the average amount each local business invoiced in 2015. Seattle topped the list as America's No. 1 city for success, with small businesses in that region invoicing a yearly average of $179,905. San Francisco and New Orleans closely followed, with each business invoicing an annual average of $146,349 and $142,556 respectively. New York, Minneapolis, Boston, Miami Beach, Dallas, Philadelphia and Miami rounded out the top 10.
"An incredibly diverse cross section of America's smallest business owners, from electricians and landscapers to creative freelancers, use Invoice2go to bill their customers and get paid every day. By analyzing that collective activity, we get unique insight into a hard to measure, yet critical subset of the U.S. economy," said Greg Waldorf, Invoice2go CEO. "The media constantly paints small business owners, particularly the self-employed, as a vulnerable group in need of stronger protection. That sentiment fails to recognize that these business owners are strong, ambitious, and carving out their own success. The Highest Achievers list is proof that that there's ample opportunity for anyone who wants it."
A recent survey found that 86 percent of small businesses using Invoice2go expect to grow their business in 2016. The majority of users expecting rapid growth in the new year view the acceptance of credit and debit card payments as a key driver for success. Invoice2go, a Fintech company to watch, is used by 200,000 small businesses worldwide to send more than a billion dollars in invoicing every month. The app allows U.S. business owners who previously had to wait for a check in the mail, to now accept payments via credit and debit cards. Invoice2go helps users take control of cash flow, get paid quickly, and improve day-to-day operations.
