Seasoned Employee Benefits Expert Joins Lockton

David Dennis brings his expertise to Lockton's Chicago employee benefits operation

CHICAGO, Dec. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Lockton just announced the addition of David Dennis as Unit Manager and Senior Vice President in its Chicago employee benefits operation. He joins Lockton with more than 22 years of experience in health and welfare and employee benefits consulting. Lockton is the world's largest independent insurance broker and continues to expand in the U.S. and worldwide.

Employee benefits expert David Dennis just joined Lockton's Chicago operation.

In his new role, Dennis is responsible for providing guidance and developing comprehensive benefit programs to address the risks that employers face. Tom Schaffler, President of Lockton's Chicago employee benefits operation said, "The level of risk facing our clients is extremely diverse and our teams must be prepared to help identify and manage those risks." He added, "David has the industry experience necessary to understand these risks and to develop appropriate solutions for our clients and prospects."

At Lockton, Dennis will focus on client retention and manage his team as they assist employers with strategic advice. Dennis' team will consult with employers on marketing, funding, plan design and analysis of employee health and welfare benefit programs. Dennis' industry experience includes five years of national account underwriting with two national carriers: Aetna and BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois. Before joining Lockton, Dennis was a Practice Client Lead and Account Executive within the Health and Benefits Practice at Aon Hewitt in Chicago. He was also a member of Aon Hewitt's National Middle Market Steering Committee and Cigna's National Producer Advisory Council.

Dennis attended Kansas State University and has a bachelor's degree in social science.
