Set in the Los Angeles suburb of Whittier, the show follows LEIA, a bright-eyed young woman in search of her FOREVER job. With friends CHRISTIAN and MARS by her side, they embark on a series of crazy yet amazing adventures that end with valuable lessons about friends, family and adulthood.
The show's underlining message is positive and relatable: with a little determination, creativity, and the help of friends, anyone can follow their dreams, nevermind a few hilarious and unforgettable bumps in the road.
"Expect a few surprises in the season finale," said the show's creator Cheyann Montiel Reagan. "Our fans have been so amazingly dedicated to this show, we knew we had to go out with a bang! The goal is always to exceed expectations, and I think we've done just that."
The show was made possible with the help of friends, family and fans. Often, Reagan used Facebook to recruit extras, promote open casting calls and even tapped into the creative talents of fans with a contest for the show's official poster.
"The fact that we could create an entire web series with no major funding reinforces the show's message: With some hard work, determination and the help of others, anything is possible!" said Reagan. "Now that we're making our dreams come true, we want to inspire others to do the same."
As part of the show's grassroots promotional campaign, the cast conducted a month-long motivational tour. They screened teasers from the show's YouTube channel at dozens of local schools while talking to students about the importance of staying true to themselves and encouraging them to discover their purpose in life so they too can find their forever job.
Reagan is now working on a behind the scenes documentary about OFf & RUNNING's theme and her persistence to break stereotypes in media. Her leadership in New Media has given her an opportunity to present her work at the Silicon Valley Latino Leadership Summit in May 2013, at Stanford University, where she will be one of the speakers.
The season finale of "OFf & Running" can be viewed November 21th on the show's youtube channel, www.youtube.com/offandrunningweb, or on the show's website, www.offandrunningwebisodes.com. All episodes will remain available online.
