HonorHealth was created in 2013 with the affiliation and subsequent merger of John C. Lincoln Health Network and Scottsdale Healthcare. The new brand and name honor the legacy of those health systems.
HonorHealth is transforming healthcare by building an interconnected network of care, which includes:
- Ambulatory health centers that will offer primary and urgent care, pharmacy, imaging and lab services and physical therapy within one location. These centers also will have observation units for patients requiring round-the-clock-care, but not necessarily hospitalization or a visit to the emergency department. In this setting, patient can receive treatment with better outcomes and at a lower price. The first center is under construction in Glendale.
- A Transition Specialist program that helps patients recover from illness or surgery. The transition specialists make house calls to assist patients with follow-up medical care, blood pressure monitoring, medication management and nutrition education.
- HonorHealth Medical Group, a network of 54 primary care and specialty practices, located throughout the Valley.
- Extensive outpatient services, including the Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center, Breast Health and Research Center, Greenbaum Specialty Surgical Hospital, Sonoran Health and Emergency Center, and a Research Institute.
- Five acute care hospitals: Deer Valley Medical Center, John C. Lincoln Medical Center (formerly North Mountain Hospital), Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center, Scottsdale Shea Medical Center, and Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center. Level 1 trauma centers are located at John C. Lincoln and Scottsdale Osborn Medical Centers. Major tertiary services are covered between all HonorHealth hospitals.
- Extensive community outreach programs that are part of HonorHealth's legacy. Neighborhood Outreach and Access to Health's (NOAH) four locations offer medical, dental, prenatal, behavioral health, nutrition, immunization, health education, vision, and hearing services.
