SBG Sports Software named Official Supplier to the Porsche Motorsport LMP1 Team for Le Mans

LONDON, June 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- After extensive market research and testing, the Porsche Motorsport LMP1 Team, with their two 919 Hybrid sports-prototype racing cars, has selected SBG to supply software to manage and analyse race events in the WEC Championship until the end of 2017.

Pascal Zurlinden, Race Strategy Engineer for the Porsche Team, described the reasons for selecting RaceWatch, "From the early part of the 2015 season we started to evaluate the various options we had to optimise our video and data analysis. You need systems that are fully interactive even when dealing with the 24 hour race and bring all the various elements together in an easy to digest display. SBG ticked all these boxes and in the end the decision was an easy one."

RaceWatch allows all video feeds from cameras in the garage, official on-boards, circuit CCTV and host broadcaster to be integrated with the telemetry and timing. It can provide live analysis of pace, project the final race positions and allows teams to review their own pit stops during the race.
