Saving Spot Dog Rescue Files Lawsuit Against Lisa Vanderpump and Husband Ken Todd Citing Breach of Contract, Fraud and Physical Assault
Lawsuit Seeks Upward of $500k For Intellectual Property Theft & Damages
LOS ANGELES, Aug. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --The lawsuit against Lisa Vanderpump, Ken Todd, business associate John Sessa, and the defendants' organization, was filed in California court Monday, August 7th. The lawsuit outlines the facts, stating Todd and Vanderpump entered into a written agreement to lease the established Dog Rescue and rebrand it to their own Vanderpump Dog Rescue. The defendants then reneged on contractual monies and responsibilities, and bounced checks to the organization. The suit furthermore describes Ken Todd physically assaulting executive director Lizzie Scherer. He grabbed her by the collar, threw her against a wall, and verbally assaulted her at their fundraiser attended by several hundreds of people (police report upon request).
Music producer and charity head Ira Dewitt Ph.D. explained, "Ken Todd and Lisa Vanderpump committed fraud against our charitable organization, reneged on a contract, stole, bounced checks, Ken physically assaulted our executive director (backed by police report), and they caused irreparable damage to our organization and the countless dogs we save. We were transparent in our organization's mistaken filing status and they agreed in writing and verbally to move forward whilst they plotted to steal our contacts, intellectual property, and ruin our business. We have filed a lawsuit today and are confident that the truth will come out in our favor and they will have to compensate us including damages for our losses. They have maligned our reputation to the press to protect themselves but the facts will support our claims. We are crushed that they would use their celebrity status to destroy our organization and harm the animals they supposedly care about." Dewitt added, "All you have to do is google Ken Todd to see what type of predator he is with claims of abuse and multiple lawsuits. In the process we were all made aware of an administrative mistake with a tax filing which at the time they offered to assist with but since are using as an excuse for their fraudulent actions."
