New Oak Cliff store marks Save-A-Lot's commitment to Dallas' Hispanic communities; Dallas city leaders participate in Grand Opening celebrations
DALLAS, Feb 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Save-A-Lot food stores, one of the nation's leading hard discount grocery retailers is expanding its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with the opening of a new store at 2627 W. Jefferson Blvd in the historic Oak Cliff community. A series of Grand Opening events will kick-off on March 4, 2010 and end on March 9, 2010 with an official Dollar-Cutting ceremony beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The new store signifies Save-A-Lot's continued commitment to providing affordable, quality groceries to Dallas residents as well as the company's entry into the Hispanic grocery market. They'll grab groceries to benefit the "Oak Cliff Churches for Emergency Aid" (OCCEA) Food Bank, which will be receiving a $5,000.00 donation from Save-A-Lot that will help them feed thousands of Oak Cliff families in need. The presentation will take place at the Grand Opening on March 9th at 10:00 a.m.
Several other community events will be held including the "Save-A-Lot Fights Childhood Obesity Event," which will focus on educating children and parents on the dangers of childhood obesity and how to live a healthier lifestyle. Several reputable organizations from the health sector will participate in the interactive event. Everyone is invited to the events to celebrate Save-A-Lot's commitment to Dallas.
