The seven titles are: Fines Reduce Long-Term Oil and Gas Production; Bring a Well Online Quickly with a Curable Resin-Coated Proppant Tail-In; Choose the Right Proppant Supplier; Precured Resin-Coated Proppant Increases Net Present Value; Resin-Coated Proppant Withstands the Highest Reservoir Temperature; Proppant Porosity Considerations; and Fines Generation and Movement. The series will continue in 2013.
"A fundamental part of our strategy, since Santrol launched the resin-coated proppant industry in 1976, has been to support our customers with the technical information they require to optimize proppant performance," said Nick Johnson, director of Marketing. "The Proppant Briefs reinforce this strategy."
The briefs are available in Santrol booth 115 during the trade show at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel and Convention Center or online at santrol.com.
Booth visitors can also learn about choosing the right proppant at the right time for a specific application using Pick Your Proppant™ interactive software. This original application is based on 46 years of proppant lessons learned in all of the major US shale basins. The knowledge base recommends the Santrol proppant after specifying operating parameters. This is a significant tool to maximize productivity of shale oil and shale gas reservoirs while eliminating proppant flowback and crush.
Santrol is also releasing the first edition of the Hydraulic Fracturing Dictionary. The dictionary, which covers relevant proppant industry terms, is available in the booth or online at santrol.com.
