SAIC Awarded $39 Million Task Order by the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division
Company to Provide Management and Systems Engineering Services to Support Integrated Communications and Information Systems
MCLEAN, Va., May 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced it has been awarded a follow-on contract by the U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) to provide management and systems engineering services to NAWCAD's Integrated Communications and Information Systems (ICIS) Division. The task order has a one-year base period of performance, four one-year options, and a total value of more than $39 million if all options are exercised. Work will be performed primarily in St. Inigoes, Md. The task order was awarded under the U.S. Navy's SeaPort-e contract.
The ICIS Division is tasked by numerous U.S. Department of Defense and federal agencies to perform engineering, development, acquisition, integration, and installation tasks relating to communication-electronics and information systems. Under the task order, SAIC will provide contract, organizational, and project management support, as well as material acquisition services in support of various projects. These projects include surface ship radio and aircraft-based communication systems; automatic identification systems; unmanned vehicle communication and control systems; information assurance activities; and technical development initiatives.
