Sacramento Law Firm Invites All to Visit on Friday April 30th
SACRAMENTO, April 26 /PRNewswire/ -- What do lawyers actually do? What is a typical day in a law office like? How many lawyers does it take to change a light bulb? Questions like these and many more will be answered (and lawyer jokes tolerated; there will be a prize for the best) as The Law Offices of Edward A. Smith opens its doors to the public this Friday, April 30th, in celebration of "Law Day."
"Because there's a knowledge gap about the legal profession, and so many misconceptions about personal injury lawyers, we're inviting people of all ages to come into our offices, enjoy some refreshments and see for themselves what we're all about," says Ed Smith, the firm's founder. "First thing they'll learn is this: we don't bite. In fact, they'll meet very compassionate and caring people whose prime mission is to help others put their lives back together."
Mr. Smith believes the open house presents to students who may be considering going into law a rare opportunity to get an inside perspective on what a law firm does. He thinks they'll be surprised at the "holistic" or healing approach to handling personal injury and wrongful death cases his firm has built its reputation on. "We take pride in getting to know who our clients are, working with them closely, and fighting for them tirelessly to protect their rights and restore their lives to as close to normal as possible."
Law Day was started in 1958 by a proclamation of President Dwight D. Eisenhower to draw attention to both the principles and practice of law and justice. Each year, law organizations across the country commemorate the day with programs and events designed to promote public understanding of the law.
Established in 1982, Edward A. Smith is an organization of attorneys representing clients throughout the state of California, most of whom are the victims of debilitating accidents, providing an array of legal services through its 16-member staff. The firm works on contingent fee basis only, which means they are paid for their services only when they actually collect money on a client's behalf.
All are welcome to visit their offices this Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, at 1900 Point West Way, Suite 200, Sacramento, California 95815. (Behind the Elephant Bar Restaurant on Arden Way) For more information, call 800-404-5400 or email [email protected]
