Sacramento Kings & Verizon To Host Phone Recycling Drive

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Dec 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Wireless and the Sacramento Kings are teaming up to help support survivors of domestic violence through a phone recycling drive.

When the Sacramento Kings meet the New York Knicks Dec. 27 at Sleep Train Arena, fans can donate used cell phones to Verizon's HopeLine® program in drop boxes located on the concourse level at Section 123 of the arena. As a thank you, all participants will receive a "buy one, get one free" ticket voucher for a future Kings game.

Verizon Wireless will also present a $15,000 check to WEAVE, Inc. on court following the first quarter of the game. WEAVE is the primary provider of crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Sacramento County.
