CHICAGO, Nov. 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In keeping with its commitment to provide quality service to its customers, Rush Health has hired two seasoned executives who are veterans in the healthcare industry. Michael K. Raymond, M.D., resident of Deerfield, has been named Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and Julie A. Bonello, CHCIO, has been named Chief Information Officer (CIO) for the growing network of hospitals and providers.
A dedicated leader in providing quality care to patients, Dr. Raymond comes to Rush Health after serving as Associate Chief Medical Quality Officer of Northshore University Health System. He also served as the Medical Director of Community Care Partners (Evanston), a collaboration of four health care systems overseeing care for Medicaid-eligible patients. Dr. Raymond has held numerous management positions, while still continuing to serve patients in his Skokie, Illinois internal medicine practice.
As CMO, Dr. Raymond will head up the clinical side of Rush Health, as the network continues to address the changing movement from pay-for-performance to value-based health care. As part of the leadership team's continuing commitment to population health efforts, he is responsible for helping to measure, analyze, and standardize quality and efficiency metrics, ensuring successful contracts for network members.
Julie is a highly effective leader with experience in healthcare IT, operations, managed care, research and care delivery. Her career began in nursing at Rush University Medical Center. Most recently, Julie was CIO at Access Community Health Network (Chicago), one of the nation's largest federally qualified health center networks providing ambulatory services for 40 health centers in Chicagoland. A champion of EHR adoption, she is a presenter on the subject and has been a panelist for the National Institute of Health CTSA Community Engagement Conference and the Telehealth Panel for Leadership Greater Chicago.
As CIO of Rush Health, Julie will provide the vision and leadership for developing, implementing and leveraging IT strategies.
