Rowenta® Returns as Official Garment Care Provider of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York
Brand's Garment Care Essentials Help Designers' Achieve Collection Perfection for the Runway
WEST ORANGE, N.J., Sept. 6, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Rowenta, the world's finest high-performance iron and garment steamer brand, will once again be the official garment care provider of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York at Lincoln Center, Sept. 8-15. This is the fifth season that renowned designers will turn to Rowenta to assist them with sending polished looks down the runway at America's most prestigious fashion event.
"We are delighted to once again partner with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and continue to show our support for the American fashion industry," said Division President of Groupe SEB USA, Greg Cairo. "We are committed to perfection when it comes to our Rowenta irons and steamers, and this sponsorship allows us to provide the designers with products that enable them to achieve just that for their runway collections."
This season, Rowenta will be providing designers and backstage teams with its exclusive limited edition Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Pro Master iron. Featuring a sleek European design and patented micro-steam soleplate created for ultimate steam distribution, the Pro Master iron removes wrinkles from fabrics quickly and easily. The Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Pro Master iron will be available to consumers via QVC during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.
Designers will also use the Rowenta Precision Valet Garment Steamers and Rowenta Pro Iron Steam Stations to prepare their collections backstage. Ideal for steaming delicate fabrics, the Precision Valet Garment Steamer's variable steam control function allows the user to adjust the steam level based on the type of fabric, and its integrated hanger makes steaming garments more efficient. The Pro Iron Steam Station has extraordinary steam pressure that makes ironing faster and easier with professional results, just right for the runway.
In addition to supporting designers backstage, this season Rowenta will be encouraging Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week attendees to become designers and models themselves. Fashion Designer and Rowenta Style Ambassador Althea Harper has designed custom iron-on templates for attendees to create their own unique t-shirts and tote bags. Attendees can visit the Rowenta pop-up iron-on station at Lincoln Center on Fri., Sept. 9 from 9 AM – 9 PM to try out Rowenta's exclusive Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Pro Master iron, meet Althea and customize their own iron-on creations. Fans that are unable to attend the shows can download the iron-on template from RowentaUSA.com to create their own t-shirt or tote right at home. Additionally, Rowenta will be hosting a photo booth throughout Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center where attendees can smile for the camera and work the Rowenta runway.
All Rowenta products featured backstage during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week are currently available through www.rowentausa.com.
