Rocco's Cafe Changes Logo in Honor of S.F. Giants

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Rocco's Cafe is proud to announce it has changed the colors of its logo to Orange & Black to pay tribute to the San Francisco Giants for winning the National League Pennant and making it to the 2010 World Series.  The Giants are playing in the World Series for the fourth time since moving here from New York in 1958 and the second time since Rocco's Cafe opened in 1990.

Rocco's loyal customers include many past and present professional athletes, including many San Francisco Giants players and coaches.  To honor these customers and show support for all San Francisco Giants, past and present, Rocco's is proud to change its logo to the orange and black colors of the San Francisco Giants.  Rocco's will also be supporting the Giants in its Rocco's Neighborhood Newsletters with "Giants Orange October Specials".

Sports memorabilia from local professional teams adorn the walls of Rocco's Cafe, including many San Francisco Giants one-of-a-kind signed photos and a framed original program from the 1962 World Series which matched the Giants against the New York Yankees.  The Yankees went on to win that Series in Game 7 when Willie McCovey hit a hard line-drive shot to second base with two on and two out but Yankees' second-baseman Bobby Richardson was able to make the catch to end the game and win the '62 World Series 1-0.

Today, Rocco's enjoys a loyal following of regular customers, some of whom remember going to Chef Don's grandfather's restaurant.  Rocco's is a neighborhood favorite for good homemade Italian food with a lively atmosphere, quick service, and large portions.
