Rihanna Returns to Her Barbados Homeland for Legendary Loud Concert Produced by the Barbados Tourism Authority and Roc Nation

NEW YORK, Aug. 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, August 5, 2011, Barbadian superstar Rihanna gave a heart-felt performance to 25,000 fans in her native country of Barbados. The Barbados Tourism Authority (BTA) and Roc Nation produced the concert held at the world-renowned Kensington Oval which featured pyrotechnics, elaborate costumes and cutting edge choreography.

Rihanna has signed a multi-year deal with the BTA to exclusively promote her hometown island of Barbados as a tourist destination. The full-length concert officially kicked off the three-year deal. As a cultural ambassador for the island of Barbados, Rihanna will exclusively promote the destination through advertising campaigns, promotional appearances and via her social media presence.
